Trends as We Approach End-Time Harvest

Thank you for praying for me on this long journey that began in Taiwan (10 days), continued on to Canada (6 days), and ended in the US (23 days). I will arrive home in Japan on November 30. I have been greatly blessed not just by ministering, but also by connecting with so many differing groups. God’s ekklesia is definitely—definitely—arising.

Below are several trends I feel are significant as we prepare for end-time harvest:

1. Prophesying and prophetic activation are more important than ever. Since the early 90s, the prophetic has been a main part of our ministry and assignment from the Lord. One might think that eventually it would fade into the background as new things came forth. That is definitely not the case. The prophetic is more important than ever. Everywhere I go, there is hunger both to receive prophetic ministry as well to learn how to prophesy. Every single believer needs to be activated to prophesy, as this will be one of the main tools for end-time harvest.

2. Young apostles must arise now! This is not about needing a title or recognition, but scripture clearly says the foundation of the church is apostles and prophets (see Eph. 2:20). It is only when apostles and prophets take their places that the believers—the ekklesia—will fully be able to arise (see Eph. 4:11–12). By now, much of the church has come to accept that there are apostles and that we need them because they carry anointing for breakthrough and miracles. But there still are hurdles. One obstacle is the mindset that a person can’t be recognized as an apostle until they have a long resume of accomplishments. They forget that Peter and John and the others were likely in their twenties when Jesus went to heaven and left them in charge. In fact, they were called apostles as soon as Jesus sent them to the villages ahead of Himself (see Matt. 10:1–2). The need is for young apostles to arise, and they must arise now. I am glad that one of our main ministries is to help raise up and mentor apostles.

3. Small, vibrant apostolic centers. One of the constants of this long trip has been lots of ministering in the new style apostolic centers. The groups are smaller—sometimes very small—but they all have the following traits in common:

  1. Intense and passionate worship (even among the children and youth)

  2. They see themselves as “family,” and all are accepted and have a place.

  3. Everyone takes part, and each person is needed.

  4. Extraordinary reliance on the leading of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts, and not reliance on programs.

  5. Eating together and fellowship

  6. Young apostolic leadership

I believe that increasingly this will be a picture of the vessel—or net—used to bring in and hold the end-time harvest.

4. Acknowledging God in every situation and being thankful. A negative downhill slide begins almost immediately when we don’t 1) acknowledge God in every circumstance, and 2) fail to be thankful. Romans 1:21 states, “Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” God has always wanted to walk with us and for us to walk with Him. It really is what Paul describes as walking in the Spirit (see Gal. 5:16). And Romans 1:21 tells us how to do that in the simplest of terms. Acknowledge Him always, and be aware of His presence always. In a negative circumstance, never allow yourself to be shaken or to question if God is there. He is. He always is. We must always acknowledge His presence and be thankful.

Thanks for praying,

Ron and Teddy

Pray for Israel

The prayers of God’s people for Israel and the war with Hamas have huge effect. It keeps the devil from doing what he wants to do. His plans are thwarted because of the prayers of Christians around the world. Let’s keep praying for Israel, Palestine, and the Middle East.

Also you can join the daily fifteen-minute prayer session led by Patricia Bootsma (CTF), which I highly recommend. You can join via Zoom: http://prayer.jhisrael.com/pray; passcode: pray.

Be Sure to Celebrate

God wants us to be joyous, celebrating people. Most of us know that perhaps God’s greatest purpose in giving us the feasts is to help change our mindsets. He doesn’t want us to be worried and fearful, but wants us to be full of joy because we’re doing life with Him. Thus, Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles are all feasts. They are celebration times. The same is true of the monthly feast of first fruits. Yes, each month has some specific things God wants us to focus on. But each and every monthly first fruit celebration is, in fact, a celebration. A joyful time. This is the mindset God wants us to have. As we look at all the problems in the world, our response must be joy. Remember what Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
