Four New Songs for 5874

I want to continue to keep these four songs Pete wrote for the new year in front of you. I believe they fall into that category of praise that connects to the glory of God. We read, “When the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the Lord, ‘For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever,’ the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud” (2 Chron. 5:13).

1. Rosh Hashanah—A song for soaking in the goodness and greatness of God

2. Day of Atonement—“Let There Be Nothing

3. First Day of The Feast of Tabernacles—“The Upright

4. Last Day of the Feast of Tabernacles—“Arise, Wake Up

Malaysia Trip Report

Thanks for praying for me on my eighteen-day trip to Malaysia. Yes, it was rather long. But since Teddy is still in the US taking care of her mother, it all worked out well. I was grateful to connect with people and churches I hadn’t seen in five years—and in some cases much longer.

It was good to reconnect with Hosanna Church (Sibu City, Sarawak) on the first weekend of the trip. It was one of the first churches I had trained in the apostolic and prophetic, and went there once or twice a year for several years. It was great to meet so many of those people again. This was followed by four days in Kuala Lumpur at Agape Church and School of Ministry, which was a new connection. My main assignment was to activate the church and school of ministry to prophesy!

Then, I then returned to Sarawak and went to Bintulu to be with John and Annie Wong, the leaders of Canaan Land Assembly (CLA). I have been their covering from the very beginning, fifteen years ago. They have taken what I trained them in and equipped their own people; now they are training other churches and leaders in their area, as well as some from other nations. CLA has really grown in the past fifteen years. Congratulations to them.

For the final week, I flew to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah. My connection here began back in 2001 when I was invited by Rev. Lee of Basel Church to train and activate prophesying. It really caught hold, and from then on I was invited back year after year. The training spread to many people and churches. It was here that our Arise 5 network really began to grow.

Reconnecting with so many was great. But more than that, I was blessed by some of the stories they told me of what the Lord had done through my earlier ministry there. It seems far more was accomplished than I thought. It made me wonder how many of us underestimate the things that God can do through us. Anyway, thank you, Lord.

The last three evenings, I ministered in churches that were non-Chinese ethnically. They use the Bahasa Malaysian (BM) language, and congregations were largely made up of indigenous people. I feel I saw prophetically that revival fire is getting ready to break out among them. The ethnic Chinese churches, which are usually much larger and wealthier, have long prayed for them, supported them, and helped them. But now I feel that perhaps revival is going to break out in Sabah, and that it will first be among—and then carried by—the BM people, who are the majority of the population in Sabah.

If End-Time Harvest Has Begun, Then We Need to Begin Now!

I have been speaking quite a bit in the past months on Joel 3:16, which states, “The Lord also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; the heavens and earth will shake.”

Note: Sadly, the vicious rocket attacks and war begun by Hamas on Israel are more of these “shakings.” We pray for Israel, and we pray for all those suffering, both Israelis and Palestinians. We know the Lord is in control. He definitely is!

To me, the beginning of the Covid pandemic in 2020 kind of marked the onset of “shakings.” Shaking is good for us believers because it helps us get rid of unnecessary things and helps us stay in the center of that most basic and important truth—that God is our source. But shaking also affects the rest of mankind in that complacency goes and people begin to wonder about eternity. Shaking also is in the heavenly realm (Satan and his demons operate in the second heavens). They lose their grip over humanity, and the darkened veil they try to blind people with begins to slip and break (see 2 Cor. 4:3–4). In other words, it’s not just us people, but we can say that the whole demonic world is also being shaken and they are losing their grip.

This then leads the discussion to harvest. Joel 3:13 states, “Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe.” Harvest is by far, I think, the main reason for these shakings. God wants a huge harvest. He really does. I think the hugeness of this harvest is vastly more than we can imagine.

So, if the purpose of shaking is so there can be a harvest, then we have no choice but to conclude that harvest time is now. It matters little whether or not we think this is harvest time or isn’t—if God says it is, then it is.

Thus, I refer to the prophet Haggai. Chapter 1 states the people thought that “now” wasn’t the time to build the temple, but God said it was. Haggai then charges them: “‘Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,’ says the Lord” (Hag. 1:8).

What is the lesson here? If we say, “Yes, Lord, I agree. Now is the time of harvest,” then what are we to do? The answer is what Haggai told the people. Don’t hesitate. Don’t wait. Immediately go to the mountains and get the wood. Start now! And the scripture says they obeyed.

It’s the same for us. If we know it’s harvest time, then immediately get to it. Don’t delay by saying we need more training, or that we need more anointing or whatever. No. We must get at it immediately. We must let harvest immediately be a part of our daily thoughts. We must let harvest immediately be a key part of our prayers. We need to immediately expect to be led by the Holy Spirit. We are to expect connections, and we are to expect fruit.

Thanks for praying,

Ron and Teddy
