2025/4/16 Celebrate His Resurrection Power—Ask for a Miracle

Ron Sawka Ministries

April 16, 2025; 18 Nissan, 5785

“And declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead” (Rom. 1:4).

“Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? (Gal. 3:5).

Celebrate His Resurrection Power—Ask for a Miracle

This is Passover week, as well as Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, who was “declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead” (Rom. 1:4).

Even as a boy, I loved how the story of Passover so exactly portrayed the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross. The blood of the lamb painted on the doorposts brought salvation, just as Jesus’s blood paid the penalty for our sins and brings us eternal life.

Not only that, but the miraculous parting of the Red Sea pictures the resurrection of Jesus. The Israelites were in an impossible situation. Pharoah and his army were behind them trapping them against the Red Sea. Undoubtedly, the Egyptians were gloating—waiting for daylight when they would recapture the Israelites and bring them back into slavery. But God did the impossible. He divided the Red Sea and they crossed over on dry ground. Pharoah’s army tried to follow, got bogged down, and was wiped away when the waters came back. It was an unbelievable and total victory (see Exod. 14:10–30).

At Jesus’s resurrection, God did the impossible again but on a far, far greater scale! Jesus had been shamefully crucified. He was dead and buried and sealed in a tomb. They thought He was finished! Satan and his hordes were gloating. Satan thought he had won.

But God did the impossible. He raised Jesus from the dead. The power of sin and death and Satan were forever broken, and “having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it” (Col. 2:15).

We are saved not because of words or a philosophy, but because of the awesome power of God. His power moved us from darkness to light—from death to everlasting life! At Passover and Resurrection Sunday, we celebrate His power and the life He gives. And what better way to celebrate it than to ask the Lord for a miracle? Perhaps there is a formidable, immovable situation in your life. It may be a sickness, a family issue, or something else. We honor the Lord by asking Him to move it or change it.

Miracles because of the hearing of faith—Paul wrote, “Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? (Gal. 3:5, emphasis added). Miracles and healings happen when we hear (and believe) that key or word the Holy Spirit whispers to us. But the main point is that you have “hear” it. Then you can pray it, trusting the Holy Spirit, which is far different than leaning on your own ability to believe. Therefore, take the following steps:

1. Bring your situation before the Lord.

2. Ask, and then “take hold” of the impression He gives you. Note that this impression will come very quickly and you may be tempted to dismiss it as your own thought. Don’t. You asked—therefore believe and receive the impression the Holy Spirit gave. Hang on to it.

3. Then, simply pray or declare it. Definitely something will happen.

A brief testimony—Last week I wrote that one of our main prayers must be to ask the “Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest (Matt. 9:38). I was then very surprised at what happened to me as I prayed that. I felt such an anointing and joy of the Lord. I felt as if I were being baptized in fire and wanted to spread that fire wherever I could. The presence of the Lord on me was so strong. I took it as divine approval—that the Lord wants us to be intentional and serious about asking Him to raise up and send harvesters into His harvest!

Perhaps you have experienced something similar? If so, please write and share. But above all, keep praying this prayer. Thanks.

Thanks for your praying,

Ron and Teddy

Prayer Corner-Things for all of us to pray for

  1. I believe this Passover is especially important. God wants to bring us to a new level in our walk with Him. I am praying we all will advance through the new doors God has for us.

  2. Keep on praising/worshiping the Lord personally/privately each day. Praise and worship puts our eyes on Him and takes them off of ourselves and our weaknesses and failures. (See 1 Chron. 25; 2 Chron. 29; Eph. 5:18–19, Acts 15:16.)

  3. Press into miracles and signs and wonders. Remember to declare and sing that the Lord has anointed you (see Isa. 61:1–2).

A New Beginning—The Lord Is Using Us to Do Miracles!

Nissan—The First Hebrew Month of 5785; March 30–April 28, 2025

I love this month, Nissan, because it’s the first month of the Hebrew year and is the beginning of the redemption cycle. Nissan contains Passover (Nissan 14/April 12), the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Nissan 15–22/April 13–20), and the Feast of Firstfruits (Nissan 16–17/April 14–15).

Every Nissan is a time of leaving the old and crossing over into a life of walking with the Lord—just like how the Israelites were set free from the old (Egypt), and were released into a new life walking with the Lord. I believe this year more than ever is about miracles. God wants us to choose to walk expecting Him to do miracles through us. In other words, He wants us to be miracle workers. It may not be easy, but He will help us press ahead. We know the Israelites saw many miracles, but never learned from them. They somehow stayed in complaining and unbelief. May it never be that way for us!

Yes, we too will encounter trials when we will want to slip into the old default of complaining or negativity. We must remember Nissan is also the month of the tribe of Judah, which means “praise.” Recently, the Lord has been showing us to sing prophetically to Him daily. I feel that as we sing the “song of the Lord,” new things—and new power—will begin to be released to us.
