“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. … Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory” (Ps. 24:7–10).
Three Shifts and One Surprise Blessing
Mexico Ministry Report
I’m writing this while flying back to Japan from Mexico. Pete and I had an amazing four days of ministry at the Project 173/Revival Makers conference hosted by Israel Velez and Filadelfia Church in Mexico City.
Even before the conference began, I was surprised and blessed. One of the speakers introduced himself to me and said I’d prophesied to him at a meeting in Okinawa, Japan, back in 2000. He said what had been prophesied had come to pass, and that even his being in Mexico City as part of the ministry team was because of that word. So now, twenty-five years later, we were standing on the same platform ministering together. God is amazing!
I feel the Lord used me to introduce and emphasize several important truths, which I believe will continue to emerge as keys for all of us. Those keys are as follows:
1. We must view Him as “Lord of Hosts.” Each time we praise and worship, He is there to lead us, His earthly army, accompanied by the angelic armies, to forcefully advance His kingdom (see Rev. 19:11). “The Lord of Hosts (armies)” is by far His most frequently used name in the Bible. If we don’t recognize this, we will probably not know He wants to lead us forward in warfare, and thus we will miss out on or forfeit so much potential advance and victory. During praise and worship we must be aware of the following things:
Prophetic acts He may give us to do by which He strikes the enemy on our behalf (see Isa. 30:32).
Declarations the Holy Spirit may give us to make. In my last conference session, the whole audience did rise up as His earthly army, and we declared/commanded the “gates to lift up their heads,” and that “the King of glory—the Lord of hosts—strong and mighty in battle, was entering” (see Ps. 24:7–10). We declared the doors open not just for our lives, families, and churches, but also for Mexico.
2. Without “activation,” other forms of ministry are incomplete. Teaching, demonstration, and impartation are all important, but actually are incomplete unless believers are activated. During the three-day conference, I hadn’t intended or expected to speak on—and lead in—activation of spiritual gifts. But the Lord orchestrated it such that I found myself leading in prophetic activation on the second day. It was kind of overwhelming to see the powerful, faith-filled response. My final session, I knew it was time to lead in activation of gifts of healing. They all ministered to each other, and there were many testimonies of immediate—and notable—healings. Legs were healed. Knees were healed. Eyes were healed. There were so many healings that occurred just because of a few minutes’ explanation and then directing each attendee to “heal” the physical issue of their partner. Every believer must be activated to move easily in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It’s a must!
I have written several books on activation. “How To Activate Prophecy and Revelation Gifts” and “Activated to Prophesy” are available in hardcopy in English, Japanese, and Chinese, as well as online (in English). See rwsministries.com for details.
3. God’s breath is on us and things are speeding up. Abraham must have been ecstatic—and we know Sarah laughed with delight—upon hearing God was permanently putting His “breath” on them (Abram became “Abraham,” and Sarai became “Sarah” [see Gen. 17]). They knew His breath on them would cause the promises they had been waiting for to come to pass.
We should be excited too. Ever since the start of this Hebrew year, 5785, I have felt the Lord wants us all to know that His breath is on us. Thus, we can expect old promises and prophecies that we have been waiting and longing for will now quickly begin to unfold and come to pass. Seeds that already have been bearing fruit will become more fruitful—much more fruitful. Just writing this excites me, because I know we are moving into a time of unprecedented fruitfulness. “I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you” (Gen. 17:6).
4. Blessings flow back to you via your intercession (a surprising new understanding). The spiritual warfare in Mexico was intense, and I was acutely aware of how important your intercession was. I was so helped by it, but almost immediately realized the victories I was receiving and the blessings I was releasing in Mexico were flowing back to you. Why?
Well, you were praying because as part of our Online Apostolic Center (Online MPP-APC), you were in covenant (albeit informally) with me. That covenant is key because it puts us in spiritual partnership!
As such, the resulting victory and blessing I received and that I released at this conference thus flowed back to you. It’s like the widow and her son who shared of their meager provision with Elijah in 1 Kings 17. They did so because God had put it on her heart. She gave what she had, and God did a miracle—continuing provision of food not just for Elijah, but also miraculous provision of food for her and her son. You gave what you had—intercession for me—and God did the miracle—blessing for me, and likewise the same blessing for you!
Prayer Corner-Things for all of us to pray for
Pray for many to respond to the Lord’s request to use their oikos (household/workplace).
Ask the Lord for an increase in number of Apostolic Fund Supporters (see article below).
Keep praying for all of our webcasts and videos to have great impact and for the word of the Lord to run quickly (see 2 Thess. 3:1).
That the weekly Online APC-MPP meeting would continue to grow and activate and cover many as they rise into all God has for their lives. Our next webcast will be Monday, February 3, 6:00–7:00 a.m., Japan time.
Please Consider Becoming an Apostolic Fund Supporter (AFS)
One thing I know is that the Lord is bringing a lot of changes, and lots of new and unexpected doors are opening. Thus, I ask you to consider becoming a supporter, because I feel we will need them more than ever as we head into 2025. We feel your giving is like a covenant with us. We pray for and minister to each AFS regularly. (We will ask you for a recent photo to help us/me as we pray for you.)
Apostolic Fund Supporters pledge the equivalent of $1200 for the year. This is the backbone of our financial support. We use these funds in some of the following ways:
1. Ministering in poorer nations—they are often unable to cover expenses and we do that for them.
2. Writing and publishing books and materials. In some of the languages we publish in, sales don’t even cover the cost of printing. We publish materials in languages including English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Sri Lankan. We give away a fair amount of content.
3. Paying our staff that does admin, and the work connected to webcasts and online posting.

Thanks for your praying,

Shevat—the Eleventh Hebrew Month, 5785
January 30–February 28, 2025
Time to Shout out the Goodness of God
Shouting out and forcefully declaring the goodness of God is very important this month. Why?
1. We are declaring an eternal truth that God is good, especially to those who believe and walk with Him. Declaring—even shouting it out at times—will help drive out negative thoughts and feelings that many of us may have been carrying for years.
2. It helps to align us with correct thinking rather than “foolish thinking” (e.g., “God doesn’t care,” or “God isn’t interested in me or my problem”). Note Romans 1:21, which points out that “although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened” (emphasis added).
3. So instead of our thoughts/hearts being futile/darkened, we will focus our minds on Him in faith and in daily expectation.
4. However, we must remember to link each month with the year, and this year, 5785, is a “hei” year. God wants us to know His breath is upon us. Because of His breath, promises come to pass, and prophecies begin to be fulfilled. In fact, our declaration in faith increases His “breath” upon us.
So declare His goodness. Shout out that you are satisfied, especially when “troubles” may rise up against you.
