“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Cor. 4:17).

“For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now” (Rom. 8:22).

Summer Break, Summer Strategies

Due to summer break, the next update will be August 24. The webcast schedule is also modified (details below). Also remember the summer strategies: 1) shine brighter and brighter, no matter what; 2) make daily declarations of your identity in Christ and reap a daily harvest. Declare things like: “I am a warrior”; “I am more than a conqueror”; and “I am chosen and highly favored.”

Dire Straits? Rejoice—It’s a Time of Birthing

Most of us are aware of the “dire straits,” the roughly three-week period from Tammuz 17 to Av 9 (July 16–August 6). Tammuz 17 (July 16) was the day Moses descended the mountain only to find the children of Israel worshiping the golden calf. And the following year, Av 9 (August 6) marked the day the children of Israel refused to enter the Promised Land.

Ever since then, it seems that during those three weeks difficult things happen to Israel. Likewise, these “dire straits” are often times of testing for Christians. Conventional thinking might say it’s a good time to “bunker down,” but the Lord tells us to rejoice and praise Him more than ever. Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” This is to be a time of shining brighter and brighter. We know that when we rejoice, God works in us to take us to a higher level. Furthermore, Romans 5:3 states, “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance.”

Tribulation is also often the beginning of birthing. As any mother who has given birth can testify, the birthing process isn’t a happy or easy experience—there is suffering. But the end result—that newborn baby—is more than worth it. It is joy unspeakable.

I feel this explains and gives us a reason for why we have to go through these “dire straits.” God wants to birth things in us, birth things for us, and even birth things through us. Paul reminds us, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Cor. 4:17). (Also see Micah 4:10 and Romans 8:22.)

I feel that now—this summer—there is a birthing in three specific areas:

1. An explosion of healing—I received a prophetic word that healing was “blasting off like a rocket and is now breaking free from the gravity well.” To me, that means God’s grace enabled us to persevere enough to break through the many forces that always rise up to hinder healing. I’m so glad the Lord has called me to now teach healing activation. I’m glad for the seminars we’ve been doing, as well as for the online healing room. I know this is just a beginning. We’ll soon see Christians healing the sick and driving out demons with the same ease with which they’ve learned to hear the voice of God and prophesy!

2. A rapid increase in apostolic centers—An apostolic center is a good description of how a local church could or should run. The main point is that as the believers see the miracles and healings happening, they are activated to do the same in their homes, businesses, and neighborhoods. I’ve even come to see that MPP is a kind of apostolic center. I feel that what we are saying, doing, and prophesying is, in turn, being done by our listeners. Many will begin seeing themselves as a center or place for ministry and harvest. Just as miracles and signs and wonders are occurring during MPP, the same will happen for viewers in their homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

3. A renewed mantle of God’s favor of God as you bring your requests—The Lord wants us to approach Him confident that He is extending the scepter of favor to us as we come before Him. He doesn’t just want us to come and worship and celebrate. He also wants us to bring Him our requests. Now is a time to ask Him to open doors, provide connections, and provide the finances to do all that He has put on our hearts. Ephesians 3:12 states, “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him” (emphasis added).

Thanks for praying,

Ron and Teddy Sawka
