“And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease” (Matt. 10:1).
Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. … I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied” (1 Cor. 14:1, 5).
Activation for Explosion of Healing and Miracles
We’re entering a season where we’ll see an explosion of healing and miracles like never before. There are two main reasons for this. First, it’s a time of harvest. This has largely come into focus because of the Covid crisis. The devil sent the virus for evil, but God used it for good. It’s been a time of shaking for believers to remove things like fear and double mindedness. The shaking is also causing society to begin questioning old assumptions and mindsets, as well as opening people’s hearts to the Lord. The shaking is also disrupting demonic powers and the veil they use to blind people to the love and reality of God (see 2 Cor. 4:4). In short, all is prepared for harvest like never before.
The second reason for this “explosion of healing” is because it is the prime tool for harvesting and evangelism. It’s the main tool Jesus used, and it is what He gave the twelve (Matt. 10:1), the seventy (Luke 10:1–20), and all His people (Mark 16:17–18). In other words, because it’s harvest time, and because the Lord doesn’t want the harvest to be lost, there will be this explosion of healing to bring in the harvest. It will happen in the church, of course—but even more so in homes, schools, neighborhoods, and in the marketplace—and will be done by all believers.
Let me say it again—there will be an explosion of healing and miraculous signs done through the hands of ordinary believers everywhere.
Why?
It’s not just because of the preparation brought about by the Covid shakings. It’s also because of healing activation.
The question then becomes “how to.” The answer is healing activation. Just as prophetic activation resulted in a massive expansion of the prophetic in the last twenty years, now healing activation will bring about a drastic increase of healing and miracles—by all believers—for the harvest.
When I was activated to prophesy (by Bill Hamon and Christian International), it wasn’t about needing more anointing, or needing to get into a special realm of blessing. Basically it was doing by faith what God in His word told us to do. His word declares that we are all to “desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy” (1 Cor. 14:1), and that we should all prophesy (14:5). The process is simple and essentially 100% effective. After a few how-to sessions and establishing some guidelines, everyone learns to prophesy. They find they can do what God in His word said they should do. Prophesying moved out of the realm of just a few “gifted ones” and became accessible to every believer. Because of activation, the prophetic radically expanded because now anyone could do it.
Activation isn’t just limited to the gifts of prophecy, words of wisdom, and words of knowledge. The same principles of activation work for all the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit, including faith, healing, and miracles.
Now we’re activating healing and miracles. The same format applies: some brief how-to sessions and some basic guidelines. As people take the simple steps and obey, the Holy Spirit leads and healing and miracles occur. God wants an explosion of healing. He wants it to be commonplace—for everyone and through every believer.
