“‘I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as a heritage: I am the Lord.’ So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage” (Exod. 6:7–9, emphasis added).
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” (Jam. 4:8).
“He sent His word and healed them” (Ps. 107:20).
“Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice” (Phil. 4:4).
A Time of Great Healing—You Are Wanted and Loved by the Lord
I feel that lots of healing, especially spiritual healing, will occur in these next few weeks. This is important because it will help us come into our identity as daughters or sons of God. The more we know this identity, the more we will walk in His love and be increasingly able to receive and experience the incredible blessings He has for us. And thus the more we will be a blessing to others.
The Lord doesn’t want us to just have a mental understanding that we are His children. He wants us to live in and experience the joy and confidence of it. This week I watched a video of a Sano church member announcing the birth of their daughter. This young father was so moved—so filled with love and joy for his precious daughter. Watching it brought tears to my eyes.
If this young man so loves his new daughter, and that love is so precious, then how much greater—how much more precious—is God’s love for us? Yet many people hear these words, but can’t or don’t really receive them.
It’s like the Israelites in the text above (Exod. 6:7–9). Moses was telling them of the great blessings and the future in store for them, but they couldn’t really hear it. They couldn’t receive it or believe it. Why? Because of the anguish in their hearts. The ESV says “their broken spirit and harsh slavery” (6:9). This is an important truth. Pain and anguish can block out the love of God and keep us bound in “slavery.”
The truly good news though is that God not only has great promises for us, but also that by His power and love He heals us. This week, some of our MPP prophetic intercessors kept getting a word of knowledge about “unwanted”—whether those who felt unwanted at birth, or for some reason have lived with the mindset that they were without value and unwanted.
Something leaps in my spirit when a word of knowledge is released, because I know God only shows it because He wants to heal it. In fact, I feel in these next few weeks there will be much pouring out of God’s love and much healing, particularly for those who suffer from rejection or feeling unwanted. God wants to replace that with “wanted” and “most precious.”
How do you receive this healing? I think the answer is simple:
Just come to the Lord and ask Him to heal you.
Then sit quietly in His presence, knowing He is drawing near to you because He always draws near to us when we draw near to Him (Jam. 4:8).
Listen to His voice. This is one of the reasons I love being part of MPP or any of our webcasts. I know people are healed by the words of knowledge, by the prophecies, or just by our talking about God’s love and goodness. Remember, “He sends His word and heals” (Ps. 107:20), so I feel healing happens in every one of our webcasts.
You can also choose to move in joy. In other words, be joyful. When we choose to rejoice, the Lord rejoices with us and over us. Healing is activated and speeds up.
Be blessed and be healed. Come fully into your identity as a daughter or son of God.
Thanks for praying,
Ron and Teddy
