Ask for Unusual Miracles

Releasing the Eagles to Fly*

“Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them” (Acts 19:11–12).

I feel the Lord wants us to press in to Him and ask and believe for the gift of miracles. I heard this multiple times in the past week. I heard one leader testify how the Holy Spirit impressed him to ask for the gift of miracles. I heard another highly respected leader say that the key to revival and breakthrough is “unusual miracles.” So I have begun doing this. In the past week, I found myself speaking about and activating “unusual miracles.”

The term “unusual miracles” occurs in Acts 19:11–12. Handkerchiefs and aprons that Paul and his team had laid hands on were anointed so that when people took those home and laid them on sick or afflicted people, diseases left and even demons were driven out. Undoubtedly, many of you have heard of similar things happening today. The question is, how can we receive or activate this gift?

The answer is simple and follows the same four steps of activation that most of us went through when we were learning to hear the voice of God and prophesy:

Steps One and Two: You have to know from God’s word that this is what He wants for you—learning that a gift is available and then wanting to receive it. Even a simple reading of scripture makes it clear that gifts/manifestations of the Holy Spirit are for everyone (see 1 Cor. 12:7–11). Knowing the gift is available generates faith, because “faith comes by … hearing the word of God” (Rom. 10:17).

Step Three: Ask and receive by faith. You asked Jesus for salvation and received it by faith. You asked for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and received it by faith. Likewise, you ask for a word of knowledge and receive it by faith. It’s the same with asking for the gift of miracles. You can’t be passive and just wait. You must ask! Just as importantly, you must receive. You don’t need to look for a sign—just receive it. Take hold of that gift by faith.

Step Four: Confessing and doing. You had to confess Jesus as savior when you received Him for salvation. Then, you had to choose start speaking in tongues when you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And when you receive a word of knowledge (which was asked for and received by faith), you have to speak it out as well. Now, look for an almost immediate opportunity to pray for someone to be healed. (In my Zoom meetings, I asked people to lay hands on a handkerchief which we then prayed over together and then they laid it on a person who needed healing.) The key is to use the gift. Be determined to step out in faith and speak or pray for a miracle.

Remember, it’s not our power; it’s the Holy Spirit’s. He will move and manifest.

*Note: A few weeks ago, I received a prophetic word to “release the eagles from their cages” and they would be able to soar and do what they were supposed to do. I realized God was reiterating—and also accelerating—my assignment, which has always been to raise up and activate the people of God. Every believer, not just leaders, is an eagle. Every believer is called to do the same works as Jesus (see John 14:12). We need to begin to do so, regardless of how small or feeble our attempts may seem to us. It’s important to obey. Now is the time.

Thanks for praying and standing with us for greater harvest than ever before!

It’s Time to Roar and See God’s Promises and Judgments Be Executed

Av—The Fifth Hebrew Month, July 10–August 8

It’s the month of the constellation of the lion, and therefore also the month the lion roars. The Lord, the Lion of Judah, is roaring for us (Joel 3:16). Psalm 149:6–7 explains that by warfare praise we actually “execute” or enable God’s judgments and promises to be carried out. Those verses state, “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples” Follow the Holy Spirit and His angels into joyful, exuberant praise—and even the prophetic act of roaring over yourself, your family, and your business. Watch the Lord’s latent promises begin to spring to life.

The blessings of the month of Av may be found here.
