Arise 5/Catch the Fire Weekly Update: April 1, 2020; Nisan 7, 5780
“The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?” (1 Cor. 10:16, ESV).
I am so looking forward to being able to share with you how the Lord is fusing Arise 5 with Catch the Fire (CTF). As a first step, we want to launch CTF Japan with Apostles Mike and Rachel as leaders. Join us as we lay hands on them and prophesy over them. Arise 5 Fusing with Catch the Fire
“This Is a Year of Change!” I smiled when I read that prophecy for this new year. Since autumn, we had already been in the middle of a major change—fusing Arise 5 with Catch the Fire (CTF). Most of you know CTF is the network of churches and ministries that has grown out of the Toronto Renewal, headed by John and Carol Arnott. This renewal is perhaps the greatest move of the Holy Spirit in modern times and it touched hundreds of thousands of lives. CTF wants to keep expanding so that that same outpouring of the Holy Spirit—an outpouring that birthed ministries including those of Bill Johnson (Bethel) and Heidi Baker (Iris)—would continue to gain ground.
They want to see this outpouring further impact Asia. And since we are already here, Arise 5 was asked to become CTF for this part of the world. On one hand, this is a huge change. On the other hand, much will continue the same. We will continue teaching and training, as well as raising up apostles and prophets and establishing apostolic centers. But it will be far better for us because we will be connected with a pouring out of the Holy Spirit in a very different dimension than what we have experienced until now.
The Lord Did Prepare Us—In May of 2018, one of the most prophetic people I know prophesied to me that “Now was the time for plan B.” It was a long prophecy that essentially stated, “Yes, plan A was good, very good, but plan B will be so much bigger, better, faster, more powerful, and much more fruitful.” That prophecy blessed me, but I had no idea what “plan B” was.
Then in September 2018, another seasoned prophet declared, “God is going to fuse you. You are going to be fused with something and thus become something new.” Again I was blessed, but somewhat taken aback. I didn’t understand what this meant. How or with whom would we be fused? But two months later I met John Arnott. (I was already familiar with CTF leaders Duncan and Kate Smith, but had never met John himself). Something connected in my heart. Then in 2019, things began to proceed quickly and we found ourselves being “fused” with CTF.
Most of you know that on one hand I am a risk taker. But on the other hand, I am very, very careful. So, true to form, I kept asking the Lord to absolutely confirm this. He did so many times, often through prophecies from people who had absolutely no knowledge of CTF or what we were considering. One prophecy said I would be much more connected with John Arnott than I thought. (Indeed that is what is happening.) Another prophecy said they saw me (and us, Arise 5) releasing the fire of God in our nations. It would be like a whole new movement. (You can see the obvious connection with “Catch the Fire,” right?)
But Really, Do We Have to Change? After all, Arise 5 already is a groundbreaking type of ministry. We actively raise up apostles and prophets, as well as establish apostolic centers, which not many others do. So why do we have to change? We will continue to do all of the above, but yes, we must embrace this change. Why? Because God has a far larger role for us and a much bigger harvest.
In January, I was struck by the multiple scripture references to the two final enemies that Israel had to defeat before they could enter the Promised Land. One of those was Og, king of Bashan (Deut. 3:1–11). I knew there was a key there, but I couldn’t quite see the connection until one of my translators pointed out that Bashan was actually a fertile, productive place. History tells us this region was later considered a “breadbasket” for the Roman Empire. Why did God want this change for His people? So that they could have fruitfulness and abundance.
That is a good picture of why we must change. God loves us and wants the best for us. He wants us to have more harvest, more fruit, and more abundance than ever before. So frankly, I am very excited about what the Lord has prepared for us and for the change He is leading us into.
Thank you, Lord, for changes. Thank you for leading us into new things. You want to bless us and use us more. You want us to have much more abundant harvest. Thank you for your goodness to us.

Communion Each Morning
Morning Prophetic Prayer (MPP)
For some time now, I have felt that we should be taking communion daily, so we began on Friday, March 27, and have been doing it every morning since on MPP. I am quite surprised at the overwhelmingly positive response. In addition, it seems that all of a sudden people are writing in with testimonies. The impact is powerful!
I love this description of communion from 1 Corinthians 10:16, which reads, “The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?”
Just think about that for a moment. Whenever we do communion, we are somehow participating with Him. His life flows in us and we are participating in the power and cleansing of His blood.

Nissan—The First Hebrew Month (March 26–April 24)
Moving Out of the Old and In to the New!
Thursday, March 26 marked the beginning of the first Hebrew month. No, it is not the beginning of the Hebrew year, because that started back in September on the first day of the seventh Hebrew month. Confusing? Okay, maybe a little. However, since it is the first month, you can also call it the beginning of a new year, and it definitely is the beginning of the redemption cycle. Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the Feast of Firstfruits all happen during this month.

Arise 5とCatch The Fireの統合
「今年は変革の時！」今年の預言を読んだ時に私は微笑みました。去年の秋から私たちは大きな変革を開始しました。それはArise 5とCatch The Fire(CTF)の統合です。CTFは、ジョンとキャロル・アーノットが導いた教会で起きたトロントリバイバルの結果で生まれた、教会とミニストリーのネットワークであることをご存知かと思います。このリバイバルは、ひょっとしたら現代教会の歴史で一番大きい聖霊の働きであり、何千人、何万人の人生に影響を与えました。CTFは同じ聖霊の流れを持って（ビル・ジョンソン（ベテル）やハイディ・ベーカー（アイリス）などのミニストリーを生み出した聖霊の流れ）成長し、働き拡散したいと思っています。
この流れがアジアに影響を与えることを望んでいます。Arise5はアジアで働きをしていたので、CTFの働きに加わらないかと依頼がありました。一方では、これは大きな変化です。他方では、変わらないところもあります。私たちは引き続き教えやトレーニングを行い、使徒、預言者と使徒的センターを立てあげます。しかし、今まで体験していないような聖霊の次元と流れに繋がるので、以前より遥かに良い働きができるでしょう。
主は私たちをこのために備えました。２０１８年の５月に、私が知っている中で一番預言的な油注ぎを持っている人に「今がPlan B（次善の策）と時です」と預言を受けました。「Plan A（従来の策）はとても良かったのですが、Plan B（次善の策）はより大きく、良く、早く、力強く、実りがあるものとなります。」と始まった長い預言でした。その預言にはとても恵まれましたが、Plan Bが何か解らなかったです。
そして、２０１８年の９月に、他の預言者がこのように預言をしました。「神はあなたを他のものと統合します。他のものと統合し、新しくなります。」この預言にも祝福されたのですが、でも何だか困惑をしました。この預言の意味がわからなかったのです。誰とどうやって統合するのか？それから２ヶ月後にジョン・アーノットと出会いました。（CTFリーダーのダンカンとケイトは知っていましたが、この時初めてジョンと会いました。）心の中で何かが繋がりました。それから２０１９年に物事が早く展開し、CTFと「統合」することになりました。
皆様のご存知の通り、私はリスクを恐れない人です。しかし、それに対し、私は慎重でもあります。私はいつものように神様に確信を求めました。それから神様は何度も預言（CTFのことについて全く分からない人から）を通して確信が与えられました。預言の一つでは、私が思う以上にジョン・アーノットと繋がるということでした。（これは実際に起こっています。）他の預言では、私が（私たちとArise 5が）国々へ火を解き放つと言っていました。全く新しい働きになるということでした。（Catch The Fire=「火を掴む」で明らかな繋がりがあると思いませんか？）
でも、本当に変化する必要があるのでしょうか？なんと言ってもArise 5は既に革新的なミニストリーです。私たちは、（他では珍しい）使徒や預言者を立てあげ、使徒的センターを設置してきました。では何故変化する必要があるのでしょうか？今までのことを行い続けますが、私たちは変わる必要があります。何故でしょうか？神様は私たちは更に大きい働きと収穫を与えようとしているからです。
今年の１月、何度も同じ御言葉が示されました。それは、イスラエルの民が約束の地に入る前に倒す必要があった二つの敵についてでした。そのうちの一つは、バシャンのオグ王でした（申命記３章１〜１１節）。この箇所に鍵があると思ったのですが、私の通訳者の人がバシャンの意味が「肥えた、豊かな場所」と言うまではどう繋がるか分からなかったです。歴史を見ると、後にこの地はローマ帝国のための「穀倉地帯」になったとわかります。神様は人々のためにこの変化を求めていたのでしょうか？それは、実を実らせ豊かになるためです。
これが私たちが何故変化する必要があるかを説明しています。神様は私たちを愛し、ベストを準備しています。私たちに以前より更に実を結び、大きな収穫を得、豊かになることを望んでいます。正直にいいますと、私は神様が備えてくれた変化とこれから導きについてはとてもワクワクしています。
主よ、変化を感謝します。新しいことに導いてくださって感謝します。あなたは私たちを祝福し、もっと働きに遣わしたいと願っています。私たちは更に豊かな収穫を与えようとしています。あなたが良い神であることを感謝します。
お祈りを感謝します。

ニサンの月 ヘブル暦における最初の月 (March 26–April 24)
古いものから新しいものへと前進する！
３月２６日（木曜日）は、へブル歴において最初の月です。しかし、へブル歴での新年ではありません。去年の９月、へブル歴の７月目が新年でした。ややこしいですね。ですが、最初の月なので新年として考えても良いでしょう。少なくとも贖いのサイクルの最初です。過ぎ越し、種なしパンの祭り、初穂は全てニサンの月で行われます。
毎朝の聖餐式
MPP (Morning Prophetic Prayer=朝の預言的祈り会)
だいぶ前から毎朝聖餐式や行う必要があると感じていて、３月２７日からMPPで毎朝行い始めました。皆様の肯定的な反応には驚いています。また、証が増えたと思います。これは力強い影響です！
第１コリントの手紙１０章１６節に書かれている聖餐式の説明が大好きです。「私たちが祝福する杯は、キリストの血にあずかることではありませんか。 私たちの裂くパンは、キリストのからだにあずかることではありませんか。」
その瞬間を想像してください。私たちが聖餐式を行うと、キリストの血とからだにあずかることになります。キリストの命が私たちに流れ、血潮の力と清めに参加することができます。
